Casa Doña Leo, located in the Niña Ceci neighborhood (Juan Atalaya Community) serves more than 400 boys, girls and young people and their families in leather goods and bakery workshops, as alternatives for fair and equitable work. The workshops are duly equipped with industrial machinery, in order to project their participants into the world of work and productivity. There is a community library from where school reinforcement and workshop advice are given to children and young people in the sector. In the same way, there is a community dining room supported by the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare, ICBF, and the city's social ministry. In recent years, the working child house has carried out coordinated work with educational institutions in the sector from the defense and promotion of the rights of working children and the school.

.

This program began in 1997 under the guidance of Reinel García, current director of the FCU, who lived his childhood in the city of Cúcuta, with experience in informal child labor.
